Abstract

The Myth of the Golden Age, transmitted to us for the first time by the Greek poet Hesiod, tells us about a humanity that lived in complete harmony with Nature. This, in fact, provided man with his fruits without the need of the labour. A passage from Genesis bears some striking similarities to the former. This paper attempts to provide a possible interpretation of this similarity by assuming a common source for these two stories.
